Miss Prior

Rachel Prior is the Headteacher of Spaldwick School. She is very proud of the school and all the pupils and staff as well.

Miss Green

Sarah Green teaches the Robins, the reception class. Miss Green  knows a lot about working with Foundation Stage children.  We are very pleased that Miss Green wanted to come and work here at Spaldwick.

Mrs Arbuthnott

Vicky Arbuthnott teaches the Swifts, a class of Year 1 children. Mrs Arbuthnott is the  Deputy Head She also helps with Special Needs in school.

Mrs Bell

Pam Bell teaches the Blackbirds, Year 2 children.   Mrs Bell is in charge of RE and Science  and has run and after school Art club. Mrs Bell is the Key Stage One Manager

Mr Canavan

John Canavan  teaches the Eagles  class of Year 6 children. Mr Canavan comes from Ireland and we all like his lovely accent. Mr Canavan helps the children by running a  Tag rugby Club.  Mr Canavan is the Key Stage Two Manager

Mrs Saunders

Jenny Saunders is teaches in Puffins who are year 5 pupils, she is in school from Tuesday each week. Mrs Saunders is trying to grow the tallest sunflower outside her classroom

          Miss Body

Kirsty Body is a very busy person! On a Monday she teaches the Puffins, on a Tuesday she teaches  whole class music sessions around the school and on a Wednesday Miss Body takes P.P.A. sessions.

She is also teaching pupils to learn specific instruments, and hoping that Miss Prior leaves the cymbal alone!!

Mr Williams

 Graham Williams takes the Kestrels, a Year 4 class.   Mr Williams takes the Chess Club and some of the group enter competitions.  Mr Williams is a very good photographer, and is busy updating this site with new digital images

Mrs Clyne

Amanda Clyne works  in Spaldwick School for one day a week. She teaches MfL to the KS2 classes. This year some of the KS2 classes are going to learn some Japanese!!

Miss Vasey

Miss Vasey has just joined Spaldwick School as the Kingfishers class teacher. We are very pleased to have her working in our school.

Mrs Davidson

Denise Davidson helps with Booster classes, comes in when we need a friendly teacher and sometimes comes away on school trips.

Mrs Leaver

Alison Leaver after the ICT Suite and is a whiz on the computer.  Mrs Leaver is very jolly and laughs a lot and everybody likes working with her.  She likes working with some of the younger pupils on Speech & Language programmes as well.  Mrs Leaver helps with PPA time this year by teaching some of the RE syllabus.

Mrs Burrin

 

Michele Burrin works mostly in Eagles and Kestrels.  Mrs Burrin is very creative and arranges some lovely displays around the school.

Mrs Robinson

Joan Robinson has worked at the school for a long time.  Mrs Robinson is very keen on literacy and often works with groups of children helping with that subject.  She is brilliant at quizzes and led the school to victory in the HuntSNet quiz.  Well done Mrs Robinson and all the rest of the team.

Mr Carminati

Danny Carminati helps in PPA time by doing sports coaching with every class in the school.  All the children like working with Mr Carminati, and he works them very hard.


Mrs Bank-Popple

Carol Banks-Popple works in the office at her computer.  Mrs Banks-Popple does all the financial things in the office.  She is very good on the computer and helps all the teachers to order things for the school. Mrs Banks-Popple also has to keep the bus list up to date - a very difficult task!

Mrs Hesketh

Carolyn Hesketh also works in the office every morning.  She is the voice you will most likely hear at the end of the phone when you ring the school.  One of her other jobs is to deal with the dinner money. Mrs Hesketh is also excellent on the computer.

Mrs Thomas

You will often see Felicity Thomas taking messages around the school. She spends a lot of her time keeping all the information on the office computer up to date as well. This year Mrs Thomas is also working in the Robin's classroom and does a lot of work to help the Friends of Spaldwick School.

Mr Pearce

Edd Pearce is our school caretaker. We didn't have a caretaker for a long time and so we are very pleased that Mr Pearce is so good at buffing the hall floor!  The school looks so much better now. Well done Mr Pearce! This year Mr Pearce is going to be in school every lunchtime.

 Mr Pearce has a fine selection of 'best shirts' which brighten up the school when he wears them!

Mrs Harbour has joined us to work in the kingfishers class on Monday and Tuesday mornings. She already know us well!

Mrs Balchin

Rosemary Balchin has worked at the school for quite a long time as well.  She is very kind and considerate to everybody....including all the teachers!  Mrs Balchin works mainly in the Blackbirds class. [in her spare time, Mrs Balchin makes a great lemon drizzle cake, which is a favourite in the staffroom!!]

Dionne Page is quite a new member of staff. She works in the Robins class on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs Page also supports the Eagles

Mrs Whitlock

Jane Whitlock helps in the Swifts as well as occasionally in the Blackbirds classrooms .  Mrs Whitlock is very good at playground games and can often think of good games to play to keep us all occupied.  Mrs Whitlock also  enjoys working with some children in special maths groups.

Mrs Bennett

Janet Bennett is a teaching assistant and is working with able - readers throughout our KS2 classes.   Mrs Bennett has been working with children for a long time and enjoys her time in school.  Mrs Bennett often bakes and makes lovely things for the adults in the staff room.  Thank you Mrs Bennett.

Mrs Loakes

Maxine Loakes does many jobs in school, and works with many ages of children.  She  works in Swifts  and Puffins classes.  Mrs Loakes is very friendly and is always happy.  Thank you for working with us Mrs Loakes. [ but do you know which pop group Mrs Loakes likes?]

Mrs Blackmore

Nicola Blackmore works in the Swifts class for part of the week.  We know Mrs Blackmore very well though, as she is also a parent at the school.  We hope you have a lovely time working in the Swifts Mrs Blackmore.

Mrs Hindmarsh

Mrs Hindmarsh joined us at Spaldwick School in September, she works in Robins when Mrs Page is not in, But they do sometimes see each other! She is also a parent so we know Mrs Hindmarsh well already!

Mrs Emma Belgrove has come to Spaldwick to work with a child in the Robins class. She works opposite Mrs Thomas but they do speak to each other!

Teddy Robinson

Teddy Robinson is the School mascot.  He spends most of his time in the Robins and goes home with the children.  He has his own email address and would be delighted to hear from you.  He wanted to have his picture taken before he went to Mars as he was very proud of his spacesuit.  He has also recently been to Uganda. Malawi and America so look on his special page to read more about his adventures.
