To celebrate British Science Week, the Adventurers made water clocks today. Unfortunately, they didn’t work at first so we persevered until we got a working device, not giving up when we needed to make some adjustments. Proper Scientists! #STEM #BritishScienceWeek ⏱⏰⏳ https://t.co/MsZxevO7hx
In maths, the Adventurers have been exploring equivalent fractions. We used the resources to work out whether our predictions were correct. We also talked about equal parts and how we might write these as equations. #whiterosemaths #mathsfun #teamwork https://t.co/Gar4o6NJ5z
Spaldwick Primary are enjoying a visit from @WoodgreenPets. What a great way to start science week! https://t.co/iGLuvJzz22
As part of their new theme ‘Law and Order’ the Adventurers held a lively debate today! They loved debating about school uniforms and footballers’ pay. They had such fabulous ideas and put their arguments forward in a clear and concise manner. @DimensionsCC #minipoliticians https://t.co/HBjWserNnD
Thank you to everyone who joined us for open classroom! We loved showcasing your children's hard work. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their achievements together. #SpaldwickPrimary #OpenClassroom #Celebration
We have enjoyed a fabulous whole school trip to see Shrek the Musical and the children were amazing https://t.co/34qq1pBWq0
Year 3 and 4 have had a great start to the week in maths, learning all about measuring area and finding the area of rectilinear shapes. They loved creating different shapes with different sized areas using the post it notes. Great little mathematicians so far this week. ✨ https://t.co/HkKqQAKHQR
The Adventurers have had a fab afternoon of Science, looking at light. We have experimented with reflectors around the classroom and then we investigated shadows. The children loved creating animals with their hands and then went onto making shadow puppets. #scientificlearning https://t.co/oRq2MoEHnF
Following on from my post yesterday, it was lovely to see the Adventurers choose other books in ‘The Worst Witch’ series as their library book or book to read in school. I was so happy to see their excitement! ❤️ #inspiringreaders #loveagoodbook https://t.co/3hBK9hGAjq
The Adventurers have a new ‘Reading 4 all’ book! We started it today by creating our own version of the front cover and making a prediction before reading the blurb and delving inside! ❤️ #lovereading #excitingstories https://t.co/loKnAZXnJX
The Adventurers enjoyed reading today - starting with book club this morning, then finishing the end of our class book ‘Mr Penguin and the Tomb of Doom’. The children were on the edge of their seats! We also had the first few pages of our new book ‘The Great Chocoplot’. https://t.co/DjDw8mLO4t
The Adventurers have been discussing the importance of Children’s Mental Health this week. As part of the week they have done happy breathing, drawn pictures about how they are feeling and connected with each other by asking questions. @ChildrensMHM https://t.co/pZylaJjiYz
