We know technology can enhance learning. We use a number of educational websites across our school curriculum.
We need to ensure our pupils are able to get the most use of this technology by using them in a responsible way.
Our e-safety information also includes specific reference to the same level of responsible use with their own / home technology.
E-safety information and tasks are included every term as part the school curriculum.
All pupils receive information at a level appropriate to them.
Parent information sessions are also held, with all parents invited to attend the two offered sessions:
1. An opportunity to view the e-safety learning information for their child’s class
2. An information evening presentation from an e-safety advisor. The information from this presentation is also provided to all parents in a summary leaflet.
For safe use at home, the areas of risk have been categorised into the 3 C’s:
C: Content: being exposed to illegal. inappropriate or harmful material
C: Contact: being subject to harmful online interaction with other users
C: Conduct; personal online behaviour that increases the likelihood of, or causes, of harm.
