Swifts day at the beach………

23rd May- We made fruit kebabs and jam sandwiches ready for our picnic at the beach. We wrote instructions to make a sandwich. In the afternoon we had our delicious picnic and played a game on the ‘beach’. We followed the directions to find the picnic in our maths.

Swifts in the playground today….

Today the Swifts took their learning outside to learn about directions, including forwards, backwards, clockwise turns, anti clockwise and quarter, half and full turns. We drew a grid and the children directed the mouse to the cheese. The children need to design and make their own game over half term to incorporate these ideas. I look forward to seeing the results.

Woodpecker maths

Woodpeckers started our number work this week (solving addition, subtraction, multiplication and divison problems), using written methods to solve the problems. Please let the children show you their skills!

Watching the eggs

We are watching closely to see when our eggs hatch! Our Birdcam is now active in Robins and the excitement is mounting. Over the next few weeks you will be able to watch live as the eggs hatch and the chicks begin to grow.
